Car thief fleeing crash gets away in police cruiser in the Denver post
A man carjacked a woman sitting in a Mitsubishi outside First Bank at County Line Road and South Broadway, on Sunday, Littleton police said. He ordered the woman out of her car and sped down County Line Road. A Littleton police officer pursued the vehicle until it crashed near South Polo Ridge Drive and West Mineral Avenue. The carjacker ran and doubled back to the crash site, got in a trooper car and drove off. Police found the stolen cruiser around the 7900 block of South Bemis Street.
As I was reading this I thought to my self, this guy must be really stupid to get in a police cruiser and drive off, or he is really smart to go back to the crash site, steal a police car, and not be tracked down. Also I was thinking how stupid a cop is to leave his car running and chase after someone. Lastly couldn't the police headquarters trace the car down quicker so they could catch the guy? I thought all of the police cars had a tracking devise or something so something like this wouldn't happen. I was also wondering what this carjacker did so he had to jack a car from the lady.

I agree, he would have to have something wrong in the brain to steal a police car. He must have thought that it would be hard to find. Did they ever catch the guy?
He left his car running because he was chasing a man who was running from him. He did not want to loose him so he had to keep it on (as most cops do).

I totally agree with you 100%. It just shows how much the world is stupid. We always get caught up in eachother and get sucked into all the bad in the world. I cant even comprehend how this world is messed up.The crime, abuse, i dont know it just makes me sick how many car accidents happen per day and all the abuse little kids get from there gaurdians or who ever, and some of these messed up actions are even unknown but they still occur. Wow, i got really off topic but i do wounder this, what was he thinking during all of this? To end my thinking I leave you with the question/quote:

you are completely right on this one, If a police man is chaseing someone he should turn of his car despite the extra time that it would take. Also why did the lady just give him the car? She should have at least tried to drive of or something,not just jump out of the car and give it to him.
In my opinion I thought it was smart to lead the cops in a circle and take off in the car. But the police does need to buckle down and start doing things better

Wow! Congratulations Littleton Police! This is so funny and embarrassing but seriously even if he didn't want to lose him like Austin said, if a guy is running and your car is locked and off how long would it take to turn it on and speed after him?
